overcome with a sensation that something was oh so terribly wrong, Aiden stood up without saying a word or looking back and left the starry hill where all his friends would knock back drink after drink and let their troubles fade away. As his walk turned into a jog and his jog turned into a run he could hear his friends calling " aiden yo whats up, whats wrong" but still he had this feeling he could not shake and so on he ran his body burning, his legs aching he felt as if he would collapse on the spot but he pushed on it wasnt that much further to his house now. as he rounded the corner flashes of light illuminated his windows and gunshots echoed throughout the nights sky. Aiden prayed as his full out run slowed into a jog his eyes teared up as his jog slowed to a walk in his mind he yelled to the god he did not believe to be there. "WHY!!!" at the steps of his door he fell to his knees praying for forgiveness not from the god that each second he doubted more and more but from everyone tangible in his life for it was his folly that has caused this unseen casualty. gathering up all of his strength he rose to his feet with each step his feet grew heavier and heavier as he walked through the front door. There was no sign of a struggle and nothing looked out of place but the silence was deafening. Aiden called out for his sister"Bre you there" his voice broke the silence and and echoed through the house. he walked from bedroom to bedroom from downstairs to upstairs with each step the knot in his stomach twisted and turned. As Aiden walked by the always closed bathroom door he stopped and turned towards it his hand shook violently as he went to open the door. locked..... his voice cracked as he called out for bre once more but again no answer. Adrenaline pumping Aiden breathed in leaned back picked his knee up to his chest extended his leg and in went the door. the light from the front windows illuminated the hallway and shed light on a blood splattered bathroom peering in he could see his reflection blood across his face in the mirror looking down he saw bre's body laying in the bathtub contorted and twisted. his vision blurred, his  knees buckled, trying to steady himself he reached for the door  falling short and landing on his knees
